Privacy at YouthImpact

Last updated: 27 October 2026

YouthImpact.space is operated by the Youth impact team. For privacy questions, account help or a request about your information, email contact@youthimpact.space.

Browsing opportunities

You can browse opportunities and application guides without an account. Our hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information and failed sign-in attempts to operate and protect the website.

Your account and saved opportunities

If you register, WordPress stores your username, email address, password in a protected hash, and any profile details you choose to provide. YouthImpact stores your saved opportunity IDs, application progress and email preferences so you can return to them. Your saved-opportunity dashboard is associated with your account; authorised site administrators can access account information to provide support and maintain the service.

Registration and password recovery use email links. Keep your mailbox secure and never send us your password. Account creation does not automatically subscribe you to newsletters or opportunity updates.

Optional opportunity emails

You choose whether to receive opportunity updates in your signed-in dashboard. We record that choice, its time and the associated email address. We also keep a record of the opportunities included in your digests to avoid repeatedly sending the same listing. Each digest includes a preferences link and an unsubscribe route that does not require signing in. Stopping optional updates does not close your account or stop essential account-recovery messages.

Contact messages

The contact form sends the name, email address, subject and message you provide to the team. We use them to respond, investigate corrections or review an announcement. Website email logs are configured for automatic deletion after 14 days and can contain delivery records and message content accessible to authorised administrators. Mailbox correspondence and backup copies are handled separately. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, sensitive application records or information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

Services that process information

The website uses WordPress and is hosted by Hostinger. Contact Form 7 handles the contact form; FluentSMTP connects website email to the team’s mail service. Hosting, mailbox, backup and security services process information needed to run those functions. An installed plugin alone does not mean an optional analytics or marketing integration is connected. We will update this notice when additional services that change how personal information is used are introduced.

Cookies and sign-in

WordPress uses cookies for sign-in, session security and preferences. Security and caching tools may use additional functional cookies. Signing out removes the active sign-in cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or other account functions.

External programme websites

Official announcements and application links take you to other organisations’ websites. Those organisations handle information submitted to their application forms under their own policies. Saving an opportunity on YouthImpact is not an application to its organiser.

Retention and requests

Account information and saved preferences are kept to provide your account until they are removed. Contact correspondence, operational logs and backups are retained for support, security and recovery as needed; backup copies are handled separately from the live website and expire under the backup service’s retention settings.

You can change your saved opportunities, application progress and email preferences in your dashboard. To request an export, correction or deletion of account information, contact the team using your account email address. We may ask you to confirm control of that address before processing a request. Some records may need to remain for security, recovery or other applicable obligations. Removing personal data from the live website does not immediately remove it from existing backups.
